Our daily email regarding All Stars is here…
Volunteer signups look a bit better – the only positions left open are:
- Admissions (you will be in charge of collecting the admission fees from spectators as they come in to the meet at each entrance into the HS; this position will last a little longer than the start of the meet, depending when the lines are dying down);
- Pool deck lineup (all that this position requires is to move each event that comes from the gym around the pool deck onto the bleachers and then behind the blocks – there will be 3 spots around the pool deck I will have a parent standing and moving swimmers so we can run a fast meet)
- Gym Lineup (2 parents are in the gym calling each event and then sitting the swimmers in chairs getting them ready to move on pool deck)
- Gym Chaperone (best position yet – you will be sitting in your chair in the gym as you normally would and just supervise our swimmers while their parents are volunteering on pool deck and therefore cannot supervise the overly excited children in the gym)
- Concessions cashier and Concessions – pretty self explanatory – best view of pool deck from balcony!

Food donations are not looking very good, please consider donating; the club will have to purchase what is not donated and it cuts into our profits – we appreciate any donation you can spare. CLICK HERE for food donations; you can bring your donations starting Wednesday at 6pm.
Remember, no practice tomorrow – HS meet, Senior night – club kids receive free admission if they wear their white SGSC shirts they received this season. Kids cannot be dropped off, they need an adult supervising.

Please see the attached Divisional entries, if you see any errors on your swimmers events, let us know tonight. In the file with entries by name, if you see your swimmers name as Alternate, that means, they are marked as alternate for a relay either for Divisional or All Star. If one swimmer is sick either day, the alternates will swim. Make sure they are available please.
All Star volunteers – we are going to send an email each day until the spots are filled out. We need to host these championships, not because we (as a board and coaches) want the extra amount of work and stress, but because the club can use the extra income to provide all the extra benefits for our swimmers and keep our registration costs the lowest in the county. ALL swimmers are invited to attend the banquet and their families, ALL swimmers are getting a gift at the end of each season ($25*90=$2,250), we provided financial assistance when purchasing the caps, which cost the club a couple of thousands, we offer two $500 scholarship this year etc etc. We are not able to do all these extra things, if we don’t produce income. And by hosting these championships, we bring in that additional revenue (admissions, t-shirts, concessions revenue).
So given this little background about the club financials, please grab a spot and help the club out by CLICKING HERE, regardless whether your child swims in it or not. The goal is to be out of here before 12pm that day. I understand the “requirements” to volunteer were for the regular meets, but this is something that benefits everyone so everyone needs to pitch in!

Good morning, Team!
Join us for the final high school home meet as we honor the Spring Grove High School Swim Team seniors on 1/30/24 at 4:30 pm. SGSC swimmers wearing their team shirt will have free admission to the meet. They must be accompanied by an adult (paid admission) who remains at the meet with them. Swimmers may not be dropped off. We will have a designated section for SGSC swimmers to sit and cheer on the high school team!
VERY IMPORTANT!!!! We are one week away from hosting All Stars – our biggest event of the season. Volunteer sign ups and concessions are empty! We can not run this meet without the help of ALL of our families. Even if you do not anticipate your child qualifying, please pitch in and help the club. This event benefits ALL of our swimmers and the entire club financially – the proceeds pay our coaching staff & all of our other expenses as well as our scholarship fund. We can not do it without all of the volunteer and concessions spots filled! We do not want to have to start assigning volunteers so please sign up before that is necessary!
While we are aware that some families try to wait to see if their child qualifies, we can not do that in this instance. You will not know until the night before. If your child does not qualify, they can also assist with volunteering & cheering on their teammates! This is a short meet as there is just one heat of each event. So please sign up for even one half. Let’s all work together to support our team!

Good evening,
An important update for Divisional Entry forms. We originally requested forms to be completed by 1/25. Due to remaining practices being held only for divisional swimmers, we require entry forms by TOMORROW 1/22 at 10 am. This will help coaches to know who is attending practice and to develop the best plans/drills to help the swimmers prepare for their events.

REMINDER – In order to qualify for divisionals, swimmers must have participated in 3 dual meets AND each family must have fulfilled 3 volunteer spots. Attached are current attendance and volunteer records.

Too close for comfort! Volunteers still needed
Lots of empty spots on the volunteer signup for tomorrow!! As said many, many times before, we cannot run the meet without all positions covered. We are going to have to pull parents from the stands in order to be able to start the meet. Please consider grabbing a spot of your choice today and help out.
